Take A Closer Look

Discover the fascinating truth of St. Patrick and enjoy a very special and entertaining walk that focuses on the man behind the legend and the Dublin of his time. See the places that most tourists and even many Dubliners miss. Did you know that much of the pre-Viking development of Dublin owes its origins to the legacy of St. Patrick? The tour passes ancient sites, including those that Patrick himself is reputed to have visited and, of course, the city’s two great medieval cathedrals: Christchurch and St. Patrick’s. We will be walking to some areas that were first colonised by these early Christian monasteries and later by the urbanised Vikings, Normans and the medieval English. The tour finishes in the grounds of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and entry into the cathedral for a wonderful self-guided visit is included with your ticket.
