Join us on this fantastic walking tour to celebrate James Joyce’s Ulysses in the best way possible, by following some of  the wanderings traced out by Leopold Bloom more 100 years before. Starting near one of his main character’s childhood home and finishing where Bloom enjoyed his lunch, join our professional guides as they take you through the city that inspired Joyce so much. This tour is most suitable for people are beginning the James Joyce journey or who want to see some of the places mentioned in his works> the tour is not intended for Joycean experts!

The tour will partly follow Leopold Bloom’s famous walk when he left his house on Eccles Street, and travelled via his various intriguing stops along the way until he pauses for lunch of a Gorgonzola cheese sandwich and a glass of Burgundy wine at Davy Byrne’s. Every year, crowds of literature lovers flock to Dublin on the 16th June to celebrate the life of famed Irish writer, James Joyce, and relive some of the events in his universally-acclaimed novel Ulysses. This vibrant celebration is best enjoyed with our very special Bloomsday walking tour. With our professional guide, ramble through the life of Leopold Bloom, and his originator, James Joyce, and follow segments of Bloom’s iconic walk through the streets of Dublin. Along the way, you’ll see highlights such as the James Joyce Statue, the James Joyce Centre, and Belvedere College, Joyce’s old school. You’ll also see famous places from the novel or Joyce’s life, including, O’Connell Street, the National Library, Sweny’s Pharmacy, and many more besides, before finishing at Davy Byrne’s pub – the location of Leopold Bloom’s famous lunch. At that very pub, surrounded by other enthusiasts dressed in the fashions of the early 1900s, you can raise a glass in honour of Ireland’s most illustrious writer.
