Many visitors miss the hidden charms and great history contained on Dublin's Northside. On this tour you will hear about O'Connell Street's evolution from its origin as river estuary to the modern day. Discover the General Post Office (GPO) and its role in the 1916 Rising. We will walk through Henry Street, a bustling shopping district and see the extraordinary new use of St. Mary's, the second oldest church on Dublin's Northside. We will tell you grim stories of the Debtor's prison before passing the Fruit and Vegetable Market and the Four Courts. At St. Michan's church, you will descend into two of its crypts to meet its famous and unique mummies! A shudder or two is expected! The tour will leave you outside the Jameson Whiskey Distillery where you may want to drop in for a tour and a tasting at your own leisure. All in all, a tour with many differences!
