This is a unique walk to celebrate the premiere of the world-renowned composer George Frederick Handel's immortal Messiah, which was premiered in Dublin on 13 April, 1742. Handel had been invited to Dublin the previous year and presented many concerts of his work for the aristocracy of the time. He was feted wherever he went and his ten months in Dublin changed his life forever. The tour will take in the major places connected with Handel's stay in Dublin and the amazing first performance of his masterpiece. Our walk will end with the very special annual street performance of Messiah highlights commencing at 1 PM.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the departure time at the corner of St. Andrews/Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, in front of the former church/next to the Molly Malone Statue and meet your guide.
