St Patrick's Celebrations
Enjoy one of our very special walks in celebration of Ireland’s national patron, St Patrick!
Why do we celebrate St Patrick’s day in Dublin and worldwide with such zeal?
Much of the early development of Dublin, even before the arrival of the Vikings in the 8th century, owed its origins to the legacy of St Patrick. To uncover some of this fascinating history we are organising a great walk entitled:
In the Footsteps of St Patrick’s
With Pat Liddy’s Walking Tours
The tours will take in many of the ancient sites between the two great medieval cathedrals of Christ Church and St Patrick’s, especially those dating from the 13th century all the way back to the 5th century. You will hear surprising stories about St Patrick! The tour will also serve as an orientation for Dublin’s city centre including venues of the St Patrick’s festival.
Free Dublin city maps included.
Great photographic opportunities. An optional visit to St Patrick’s is recommended (discounted tickets available).
